Europcar, Sixt and Hertz have Jaguar F-type in their summer 2014 fleet.

Europar and Hertz have only Convertible model in their fleet but Sixt also has Coupe model.

Example prices for weekend rental (Friday 12:00 to Monday 09:00).

Europcar 329 eur (including 750 kilometers) 0.44 eur/km
Sixt 525 eur (including 1000 kilometers) 0.525 eur/km

All of them have different CDW/LDW coverage which can make quite a difference in the total cost. All these prices are from Non-Airport locations. Airport locations charge approx 20% surcharge.
Europcar F-type is based on their website base model F-type with 340hp. Sixt and Hertz you have a chance of getting S-model with 380hp or even some V8 (495hp) models have found their way to the fleet.

Hertz had major availability issues with already confirmed rentals at least beginning of July. I hope that they have been able to clear those – at least their have been steadily increasing their prices for F-type.

BMW M5 (F10) available for Rental Hertz Germany summer 2013

Hertz has added BMW M5 (F10) to their summer 2013 fleet

hertz-m5

In order to book BMW M5 from Hertz you need to call their reservations. Reservation cannot be done online. M5 reservation will go to “request” process which can take couple days.

I dont know which locations BMW M5 is available but I assume biggest Airports and some City locations.

Example prices (your price may vary depending on your possible CDP discounts etc).

1 day rental pickup/return Munich (MUC) Airport:
247 eur (250 km included, CDW with 1500 euro non-waivable excess)

3 day weekend rental starting from Thursday 17:00 to Sunday 17:00
497 eur (750 km included, CDW with 1500 euro non-waivable excess)

CDW is highly recommended and not really sure if they would even rent M5 without CDW. Deductible for BMW M5 without CDW is 85.000 euros (around $110k USD).  So I doubt that any credit card coverage would cover it. BMW M5 list price in Germany  is 103.500 eur without options.

I think Hertz had some mistake rates at first since they included 500 km per day (at least they claim it to be mistake rate).

Hertz adds Porsche Panamera to their US fleet

Hertz has started relationship with Porsche Cars North America to offer Panamera sport sedans in select locations in California, Florida and Nevada. Panamera will be part of  Hertz Prestige Collection Fleet.  Based on the list  price mentioned in their press release and Hertz Vehicle Guide 27 mpg rating hints that Panamera model to be offered will be V6.

Avis Germany have been offering Porsche vehicles in Germany several years and their models are mainly top of the model range with good list of options. I hope Hertz will not make the mistake offering just entry level base trip versions. Would like to see other Porsche vehicles (911, Boxster, Cayman)  to be added to Hertz fleet.

Panamera rental prices start $250 per day. I searched price for two day rental from Los Angeles Airport (LAX). Currently LAX was the only location where I could find availability. Daily rate for weekday rental was $299.49 USD with 100 miles included per day. Additional miles cost .39 USD. And then you need to add all taxes and fees (don’t forget insurance CDW/LDW). Price will probably come down using AAA CDP or other CDP discount codes which you might have.
